The Yellowhead Ecological Association (YEA) in coalition with several other groups, organizations and communities are requesting a permanent ban on exploration and mining of uranium in British Columbia.
Currently, an application to allow B.C.’s first uranium exploration program to commence since the 1970’s has been submitted by International Ranger Corporation. B.C.’s premier has indicated that British Columbia does not intend to embrace Nuclear Energy as part of our future energy plan.
The YEA is demanding that this permit must not be granted.
